Overview
This course is designed to produce skilled artisans and supervisors in the welding and fabrication Industry. The course covers processes and techniques of welding including Oxy-fuel cutting and welding, carbon arc cutting, shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, gas metal arc welding, pipe-welding, plasma arc cutting, blueprint reading, weld symbols, and joints.

Entry Requirement
NVQ-J Level 1 - Welding or successful completion of the HEART NSTA Trust Diagnostic Test or at least one (1) CSEC or GCE subject
Qualification Gained
NVQ-J Level 2 Certificate in Welding. The NVQ-J Certification is recognized in all CARICOM and Commonwealth countries.

Overview
This programme is designed to produce supervisors in the welding and fabrication industry. The course covers techniques of welding, including pipe and plate welding, required to certify students at American Welding Society (AWS) standard. Students are introduced to the supervision and inspection of welding.
