Marine Engineering Course
Duration: eight (8) weeks
Location: Caribbean Military Maritime Training Centre
Overview
The aim of the training is to prepare Class 3 Marine Engineers to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes
required for them to effectively perform their duties in the JDF.

Entry Requirements
The candidates must have completed:
- The trainees must have successfully completed his/her basic training course in Jamaica or overseas. Possess a high level of
physical fitness, stamina and agility.
- Must possess passes in at least five (5) subjects at the CXC level/its equivalent, including Mathematics and English language.
- Possess basic understanding of power generation equipment and electronic circuitry.
- Must possess moderate physical endurance and capability.
