Captain Kacia HANSON has worked in the Education and Training sector for approximately 13 years and has had varying responsibilities spanning monitoring, evaluation, labour market research, and education administration. Lt HANSON spent most of her professional life at the HEART Trust/National Training Agency (NTA), where she held the posts of Manager, Labour Market Research and Manager, Programme, Monitoring and Evaluation. Prior to her appointment as Acting Registrar, Lt Hanson held the positions of Policy Officer in the Office of Academic Affairs and Assistant Registrar (Student Affairs).
As Acting Registrar, Lt Hanson is responsible for overall Student Administration including Students Affairs, Records Management, and Examinations.
She has been an independent Research Consultant locally and internationally for over eight (8) years and also had a stint in the finance sector as Branch Manager at the Jamaica National Overseas (UK) Ltd, in Birmingham, England.
Lt Hanson holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History and Political Science from The University of the West Indies, a Master of Science (MSc) in Governance and Public Policy from the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Project Management, from the Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE) in Kunming, Peoples Republic of China (PRC).
