First Year

English Language Requirement

• All applicants to undergraduate degree programmes at the Caribbean Military Academy must possess at least one of the following English Language qualifications or their equivalent:

Grade 1-111 CXC General Proficiency English A
Grade A-C – GCSE English Language Examination

CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination) – Communication Studies

• If you are first language is not English you will need to sit the TOEFL and score a minimum mark of 500 in the paper-based TOEFL Test or 82 (in the computer-based test [Writing – 22; Reading – 20; Listening – 20; Speaking – 20]; OR scored a minimum of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Admissions Criteria

Admissions to the Caribbean Military Academy is dependent on applicants meeting specific criteria. In addition to the general requirements which are laid out here, applicants must also be sure to check individual Programmes to determine if there are specific Programme requirements. All applicants to undergraduate degree programmes at the CMA must meet the English Language requirement.
